Questions for your readers, Ottillie.
1. What inspired you to become a writer?
Probably my love for books and my overactive imagination inspired me to write! I've wanted to do this for so many years!
2. Why should people read your book?
Why should people read my book? I'll try to keep my opinion to a minion, but I really think that people can relate or at least get a good laugh at my characters. I probably concentrate more so on the characters then I do with the plot, I really enjoy them and think they deserve a chance to be read. Who doesn't love reading about characters who are witty, realistic, and occationally throw shoes at their friend's head? Why should people read my book? 3. Can you relate to any of the characters and why?
There is probably a little of me in each of my characters. Abby probably has a little bit of my saracasim that some people do not always seem to understand. I'm also like Abby who grew up in a kind of small feel town and always in high school talked about how to get out of here to do something, like travel the world.
4. Tell your readers something personal about you?
Haha I try to give a new detail with each interview, I really believe in honesty and try to be personable. Weird little thing about me, I have a scar under my nail on my right hand from when I was trying to light a candle, and a pencil point in my left hand.

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 1...My review

This is my second attempt on writing a personal review on the movies I watched and loved. Okay, here goes...

Released on 19 November 2010 on IMAX formats, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 is the second to the last film of the Harry Potter series, which are adapted from novels written by J. K. Rowling.

Firstly, I am going to stress the point that I am a huge Harry Potter fan, so this review will be more of praises than harsh critiques. However, I will try my very best not to sound too bias. If you haven't watched the previous series of Harry Potter, feel free to request for a review on each film. I hope I won't miss anything out while giving this review. There are so many aspects to cover. Thank goodness the movie is broken into two halves.

The film started with Severus Snape arriving at the Malfoy's residence, where Lord Voldermolt and his death eaters were gathering. He was treated specially due to the death of Professor Dumbledore. The movie seemed darker than the rest series. I really loved that.

I felt a bit sad when Hermione wiped out her parents' memories with her magic spell and headed to Harry's. Ron left his place as well to Harry's. Ron, Hermione and the rest order of the phoenix arrived at Harry's place, meeting him as the sole occupant. I really enjoyed that scene, where they took in the polyjuice potion.

The journey to the Weasley's was one of the best action scenes in this movie. I felt Harry didn't really perform well in the part where his wand acted on its own accord. Again, that's just my own opinion. I didn't really like the way they apparated. The produces should have created an eye catching sequence of their apparation. Still, I guess they wanted to make it (disappearing) their own.

Frankly, I felt the first few scenes of the movie were really compelling. Even though I'd read the book, I stopped nibbling my popcorn and focused on the movie till I got to the scene where they were in the Black's house. By the way, I loved the bit where a ghost thing of Dumbledore was approaching the three friends in a very fast pace. I felt exactly what they were feeling. Good Job to the producer.

The next few scenes were more of the drama side of the film and most people would probably relax and eat their popcorn, hotdogs or perhaps, nachos.

When Harry, Ron and Hermione found about the location of the necklace, they were forced to go to the Ministry of Magic to retrieve it. Again, they used polyjuice potion to dress like fellow employees in the Ministry. This was the gazillion time they'd drunk that bitter liquid....I don't think I can do that. Anyways, the escapade to the Ministry of Magic came out successful but at a price... Ron injured and their only form of shelter abandoned...

This is really becoming a long review. I'm going to stop here and continue in the next post.

Hiya:

I recently received my first interview online. It's not much but at least a nice way to start. Do check it out and leave a comment on the site or here. If you've read the book, let me know what you think about the story line, because that was really my major focus.

Limitless.... my review

Released on March 18, 2011, Limitless is a thriller packed movie, starring Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro, Abbie Cornish amongst others.

When I first watched the trailer of the movie, I was amazed. The marketers did a very good job on that - kudos. However, what intrigued me about the movie was its actor. I have this problem with new faces. Before I go to watch a movie in the cinema, the first thing I look for is the main actor in the movie. This is why till date I haven't watched King Speech. I really don't understand why people love it. If you notice, in trailers/adverts they always refer the actor back to his famous movie. For example, Bradley Cooper from the famous Hang Over. This tells the customers what to expect. That aside, let me shed some light on Limitless.

Very good choice of main character. I mean Bradley Cooper was the right candidate for him. I feel like the role wouldn't have fitted anyone else, but who knows. My second candidate for the role would be Ryan Reynolds. He too would make a good Eddie Morra. So as I said, I love seeing known stars in a film and that alone made me watch the movie.

With what I hear, I believe the story plot is a bit different to the book, The Dark Fields by Alan Glynn. Frankly, I haven't read the book, so who cares, at least they referenced the author in the movie. Back to the plot, it was really nice. I mean really nice. It started from Eddie attempting suicide and then rewound back to how everything started. That was a good way to begin the movie. It kept me wondering why he wanted to kill himself after I'd heard the drugs made him invincible.

As I watched the first few scenes of the movie, I felt a bit comforted as a writer. His room and apartment was in a mess, but as he began taking NZT, he released being dirty wasn't healthy and sensible. That made me wake up. I came home after that movie and cleaned my room thoroughly(lol). So in a way, the movie had a bit of moral lesson.

When I got to the scene where Eddie stopped taking the pills and grew sick, I became curious to know what would happen to him. Of course I knew he wouldn't die; thanks to the beginning, but still I was curious. In my own opinion, I didn't really like the choice of character they'd chosen to act his ex-wife. I know she was ill, but come on. Then the police incident arose and I was wondering, okay would he think his way out of it? Fortunately, he did but entered into a bigger mess, as his attorney stole the NZTs.

In every movie/book there needs to be at least one climax where the MC is hooked with a huge decision to make or something of that sort. Anyway in this movie, the suicide part was the climax. I was sitting at the edge of my seat, smiling as the spirit of suspense over took me. Finally, he did the most disgusting and yet smart thing of all, which was to drink the blood of the other guy. Come to think of it, I would have done the same or even worse in that situation(LOL).

For me. the best part of the movie was at the ending. Eddie Morra wasn't on the drugs anymore. I mean, that was awesome. It nailed the cross right on the head. Nice job. i really loved it.

Okay. All done. There were some funny moments in the film. For example, when Eddie told his bodyguards to dress in different colours of suit because they weren't in the Matrix. That was really funny, or maybe it was how he said it. Again, choice of character.

What I picked out of this movie was that even though one takes the NZT doesn't mean he/she would be invincible. Eddie Morra was the only successful person who took it and remained healthy to tell the tale. In life, we shouldn't do things because of others because what works for you might not work for the other guy.

Rating: 3.5/5

Recommendation: Everyone....Really nice movie

Wow, that was a really long one. if you liked it please comment below. If you didn't, still leave a comment explaining why. Remember, all these are my opinions.

Thank you.

Looking for reviewers

I'm currently writing my third book, which to be honest is taking more time than I'd expected. O well, that's life. Also, I'm editing my first book, ICIRE: The Rebirth and looking forward to include it on Amazon Kindle and Smashwords. Writing has taken a huge part of my life, and I'm thankful to God for showing me the way. Right now, all I do is write and read. I'm waiting for a placement job and perhaps to travel out for the summer, but who knows. I might end up sitting at home all summer promoting my books online. Finger crossed.
