Questions:

What inspired you to become a writer?
I always liked to write when I was in high school but didn't do anything with my writing until years later. After reading works by writers such as Toni Morrison, Maya Angelou, Ernest Gaines, and Terry McMillan, whose stories I could relate to, I wanted to write the stories I had to tell just like they did.

Why should people read your book?
My short stories are a quick read, and readers may learn something interesting about living in the South.

Can you relate to any of the characters and why?
Ms. Pimmelly is loosely based on me. The city she describes in "Ms. Pimmelly's City" is the city in which I work.

Tell your readers something personal about you?
I am a community college instructor who teaches English grammar and composition. When I am not drilling the rules of grammar into my students' heads, I write fiction. They actually inspire some of my fiction.

Author Bio:

Shawn Maravel grew up in Bethlehem township, New Jersey. She has a twin sister and two younger sisters.

Shawn attended Voorhees High School where she met her husband David and participated in track, and took Autobody and Sports Medicine Polytech classes in addition to her regular studies. She attended Raritan Valley Community College after high school where her major was marketing. When her husband, then boyfriend, joined the Army in 2008 she later joined him in Katterbach, Germany where he was stationed soon after they were married . In Germany she took classes with the University of Maryland University College as an English major.

Shawn started writing seriously during the time that her husband attended bootcamp but she really began to take it seriously once he deployed to Iraq in 2009. Writing had started out as a way for her to cope with the long periods of time that they spent apart but slowly took on a life of its own, becoming something she did for herself.

She is currently living in Katterbach, Germany with her husband David, Rottweiler Nahla, and little-crazy-ninja-cat Sookie. Her interests include reading, writing, snowboarding, long walks with her husband and faithful canine, and watching movies.

Questions:

What inspired you to become a writer?

As a kid I always enjoyed writing, though I never enjoyed my English classes. But I didn't take it seriously until recently. When my husband joined the Army in 2008 I began reading books regularly and soon after started to dabble in writing them. At the time I was still finding my “voice” and was finding my way around the technical aspects of it. When my husband deployed to Iraq for a year from 2009-2010 I wrote Volition and its Sequel Severance which will be published shortly. For me, writing started off as an outlet to cope with my husband being gone for long periods of time, it quickly became something I loved and did for myself.

Why should people read your book?

People should read Volition and Severance because I really put my heart into the story and without heart a book can sometimes be unrelatable. Volition and Severance, I feel, are relatable, compelling, and I think that the story has a good message. And the love story, dare I say it, is inspiring.

Can you relate to any of the characters and why?

I can definitely relate to Charlotte, the main Character. She’s trying to trust her heart while everyone else is telling her otherwise. I’ve been told to do and not to do a lot of things in my life and I’ve always followed my heart. I have yet to find that it’s lead me astray. I hope that how Charlotte lives her life proves to give the same message.

Tell your readers something personal about you?

I am a passionate person in every aspect of my life. Once I decide to do something or not to do something; that’s that. It’s that personality trait that is the reason I never picked up drinking or drugs. It’s that passion that drove me towards my husband and high school sweetheart. I’m the kind of person who knows what she wants and is willing to fight for it.

Continuation of Harry Potter Review

Okay. So where did I stop? Oh, yes; when Ron got injured due to the dangerous escapade the three friends had ventured. If you haven't read the first bit of this review and want to read it, just click here.

The three friends end up leaving in the woods, but thanks to Hermione's special bag they had all they needed to survive. To be honest, at this stage of the film. I became a bit bored. They kept moving from one place to the another figuring how to break the Horcrux they'd collected from Ombrigde. During this time, Harry and Hermione became closer due to Ron's lack of health, and so he became envious and one night he decided to attack Harry - verbally. Ron ends up leaving his best friends.

For the next few days, Hermione is really sad. She misses Ron every second and knows that he'd never find them again due to the protective spell they'd cast. Okay here comes the funniest scene in the movie. Harry tries to make Hermione smile; he dances with her for a while till she grinned. I liked the background music, plus the funny dance steps they made.

Harry and Hermione make a decision to visit Godric's Hallow, which turned out to be a stupid decision. Harry breaks his wand, trying to fight Voldermort's snake, Nagini. This causes Harry to collect Hermione's wand during his watch. Then one day, he notices a patronus stag, which leads him to the Gryffindor's sword.

I really don't want to rant much about the entire film. I'll end this review with the last few scenes of the movie. The fight scene between Bellatrix, the Malfoys and three friends was really amazing. I enjoyed every bit of it. I love Dobby the house-elf. Wouldn't mind a friend like him. He was loyal till his very death. The lady sitting beside me cried when he died. I wanted to laugh about it, but endured the comedic torture.

Overall, I enjoyed part of the film. It's now released on Blue Ray and DVD. I just got one the other day, and I recommend it to all the Fantasy/HP fans. I can't wait till the second part is released on July 11 2011. Till then, but for now, have a lovely day.

All the two do is work and Abby keeps thinking she rather be doing something bigger then her town and be out of the sight of her overprotective family. Abby learns after she is kidnapped that she has to be careful for what she wishes for, because it might come in a form she may not be expecting…

Writing helps as a procrastination tool and a savior to her sanity. Ottilie has major support from her caring, supportive family along with her loveable, insane friends.

Questions for your readers, Ottillie.
1. What inspired you to become a writer?
Probably my love for books and my overactive imagination inspired me to write! I've wanted to do this for so many years!
2. Why should people read your book?
Why should people read my book? I'll try to keep my opinion to a minion, but I really think that people can relate or at least get a good laugh at my characters. I probably concentrate more so on the characters then I do with the plot, I really enjoy them and think they deserve a chance to be read. Who doesn't love reading about characters who are witty, realistic, and occationally throw shoes at their friend's head? Why should people read my book? 3. Can you relate to any of the characters and why?
There is probably a little of me in each of my characters. Abby probably has a little bit of my saracasim that some people do not always seem to understand. I'm also like Abby who grew up in a kind of small feel town and always in high school talked about how to get out of here to do something, like travel the world.
4. Tell your readers something personal about you?
Haha I try to give a new detail with each interview, I really believe in honesty and try to be personable. Weird little thing about me, I have a scar under my nail on my right hand from when I was trying to light a candle, and a pencil point in my left hand.

Here you have it guys, Ottillie Weber, author of Family Ties. Get a copy now!!!
